Online Classes

When we think of college, most of us picture tall brick buildings on a bright green campus of aged trees and flocks of students.  Well, the rules have changed a bit.  With the Internet being the super invention that it is, college classes are now available online.  While I've personally never had the pleasure of taking an online class, I have seen and heard how they work.  This new form of learning will surely revolutionize the education and careers for many.

If you attend a University, then you've probably come across online classes at one time or another.  Maybe you've toyed with taking one or two.  In all honesty, I tried several times to take online classes, the only problem was that none were available for my major or minor.  What a bummer!  A co-worker of mine took numerous online courses in math and science.  He loved them.  From what he told me, they generally consist of receiving and turning in assignments online or via email.  How easy is that?  While the assignments still require a similar amount of work, you have a more relaxed environment to work in.  Tests too are done online, of course at the instruction and time frame set by the professor.

Online classes are a wonderful new way for many of us who already have a career and lives of our own, to gain additional education for other job opportunities, or even simple pleasure.  If you do a little browsing on the Internet, you'll find a wide selection of online course information.  Most Universities offer this type of education.  You may not find every branch of study or interest with an available online course, but there are many to choose from.

Only in this day and age will you find such amazing convenience as online classes.  Who'd of known we'd be taking a class from our living room or lounging on the bed with a lap top.  Whether you've attained a college degree or not, online classes can benefit you in the work force, but without the hassle of driving to school and finding a parking space.  Believe me that is no picnic.  Been there, done that.  Online courses are a godsend.  By the time our children are grown, much of the University hassle and expense may be done away with.  As long as our education continues to expand, who knows what the future holds.
